Kim Jong Un Fires Off Never-Before-Seen Missile… Then Drops Brutal Statement About the US

For many years, the American military planners have been worried about North Korea developing an intercontinental ballistic missile that could be fitted with a nuclear warhead and reach the United States mainland.

On Monday night, those fears were realized as North Korea fired off a brand-new type of missile that now gives the country the ability to strike at the mainland of the United States, the U.K. Telegraph reported.

The missile flew for approximately 40 minutes. Based on estimates, defense officials believe that the missile would be able to reach Hawaii or Alaska. That’s terrifying.

After the test, North Korea dropped a pretty brutal statement about the missile, and seemed to indicate that it would be following up this latest successful tests with more.

“(Kim Jong Un) said American bastards would be not very happy with this gift sent on the July 4 anniversary,” the North Korean news agency KCNA reported.

“(He) added that we should send them gifts once in a while to help break their boredom,” the agency stated, adding that Kim stated the missile looked “as handsome as a good-looking boy.”

In addition to being overweight, deranged and possibly psychotic, it now appears that Kim is into little boys as well. What kind of person immediately thinks of a “good-looking boy” after watching a missile launch?

Setting aside Kim’s obsession with small children for a minute, this latest test is a serious provocation and that demands a response by the Trump administration. The usual round of throat-clearing and sanctions won’t cut it this time.

CNN reported that this new missile adds a sense of urgency to the Trump administration’s talk about North Korea. We aren’t talking hypotheticals anymore — we’re talking about a rogue state led by a lunatic that can now potentially hit the United States with a nuclear weapon.

NBC News noted that American Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley stated that the “clear and sharp military escalation” that North Korea took was “quickly closing off the possibility of a diplomatic solution.”

Haley added that the United States would consider using military force against North Korea if necessary — but that peace was still the preferred option at the moment.

This, right now, is the defining moment of the Trump presidency. Forget tweeting and “Morning Joe,” health care, fake news and all that stuff. America is being threatened by a rogue nation with missiles.

How Trump reacts to this threat will have an impact on each and every one of us for years to come. Let’s hope he makes the right choice.
