I just became an INSTANT fan!
Though the Tony Awards on Sunday featured plenty of standard, liberal, lame quips targeting President Donald Trump, it also contained an outstanding one about failed Democrat presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, surprisingly enough.
Delivered by actor Kevin Spacey, who impersonated Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, during one of his monologues, the joke tore into the former secretary of state over her improper email habits.
But before getting to the punchline, the actor had to set the joke up.
“We’ve had some exciting young performers this season,” Spacey began, in the “Clinton” persona. “Ben Platt was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people. That’s very impressive. I was on that list a couple of times.”
Platt starred in “Dear Evan Hansen,” a Broadway musical in which his character, Evan Hansen, “creates a fake email chain between him and another student at his high school who had committed suicide just days before, in an attempt to provide the grieving parents some solace that their late son had at least one friend with whom he could talk,” according to TheBlaze.
“But Ben, you know who you bumped off that list?” Spacey-as-Clinton continued. “My wife. Between you and me, you might be a better singer, but after seeing your show, there’s no doubt Hillary is much better at creating fake email accounts than you!”

Some liberals were not pleased.
“Not funny,” reads the top-voted comment at The Huffington Post. “So tired of the Hillary bashing…Kevin Spacey should keep an eye on his own secrets…”
But Trump supporters were having none of it.
“These are the same kind of jokes that are made by the precious left Hollywood elites and the mainstream media about Donald Trump on a daily basis and you revel in them but when the same jokes are made about Hillary Clinton they are characterized as brutal,” reads another comment. “The left’s hypocritical double standard is embarrassing.”
It is indeed. At the end of the day, comedy is comedy, and nobody should be immune from a quality joke, including both failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and, of course, President Donald Trump.
Though just between you and me, Clinton jokes are usually way better.
