Jesse Jackson Throws Common Sense Out the Window With Disastrous Election Claim

Disastrous to him, certainly.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson seems to have forgotten how elections work, as evidenced by a bizarre claim he made during a labor breakfast at the annual conference of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition in Chicago.

He seems to believe that failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton won the election — somehow.

The man claims that the election was won by Clinton “in spite of having a three million vote lead,” which, as much as anything else, indicates that he doesn’t appreciate the finer points of English syntax.

He also claims that the election — rightfully won by Republican nominee, now President Donald Trump — was stolen. Check out the video of Jackson’s address:

“To have a head of our party who is sensitive to the plight of working people is the order of this day,” he said at the Thursday event.

“Don’t forget when you lose; you tend to amplify ‘woulda, coulda, shoulda.’ When you win, you cover up your sins. Let nobody fool you. We worked last year; we won the election. It was stolen.”

It would seem that Jesse Jackson believes that you should get participation trophies for elections, too.

Unfortunately for Jackson and his clearly-drifting mind, “working” and “winning” are not the same thing. Trump destroyed Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions in 2016, picking up 304 electoral votes to Clinton’s 227.

“From John F. Kennedy to Nixon to Carter to Ford to Clinton to Barack, if any of them had to face the impact of… Russian interference in such a bold way… the foolishness of the Electoral College and the interference of the FBI… none of them… Hillary won in spite of having a 3-million vote lead,” he said, according TheBlaze.

“So we’re not gonna let anybody break our spirit. We’re gonna keep fighting back. A big election is coming up this year, and we intend to win.”

Of course, if liberals plan on winning anything, they’ll first have to come to terms with the fact that they lost the presidential election, failed to win control of either the House or the Senate, and have been quashed in the four special elections following their November defeat.

I genuinely hope they don’t. We can keep winning and winning until they figure just how delusional they are.
