A recent report claims there could be a backer out there if Howard Stern follows through on his threat to write a musical based on the sexual harassment cases that have plagued Fox News.
Last week, the New York Daily News reported that Ryan Stana, the founder of RWS entertainment group, has more than a passing interest in the project.
“We have a vast database of top Broadway talent. We can easily find five Roger Ailes, a few Bill O’Reilly’s, and a lot of Megyn Kelly’s for Stern to review,” said Stana, CEO of RWS.
“We’d love to work with Howard to produce and cast the show with relevancy to current news. We know he’d have a great time doing it,” Stana said.
Stern has said he thinks there is fodder at Fox for a show as good as anything else on Broadway.
“I’ve given serious thought, no bulls–t, to actually sitting down and writing Fox News the Musical to the point that I’ve written an outline,” he said last month. “All bits aside, I’m really thinking of writing this thing.”
Stern said that such a venture could “sound just as good as that other horses–t you’ll hear on Broadway that appears to have random words to some random music. It might be the next Rent.”
Twitter had its reaction to the news.

Last month, Stern had two singers, one playing the late Roger Ailes and one playing Rupert Murdoch — whose company owns Fox News — sing bits and pieces of the type of material Stern would include.
The Daily News reported that the lyrics included phrases such as, “You can’t spell broadcast without the broads,” and “CNN will eat our s–t, they just hire ugly chicks.”
Ailes, who was the CEO at Fox News, was forced out in July 2016 after former Fox host Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment at Fox. Former Fox host Bill O’Reilly was also ousted this spring after negative reaction to the revelation that O’Reilly had faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment and settled several lawsuits against him.
