The truth is out!
In April, at least 100 employees were laid off from ESPN, and “SportsCenter” anchor Linda Cohn thinks she knows why the enterprise is doing so poorly.
The Washington Post reports that Cohn said on WABC’s “Bernie and Sid” show that ESPN has betrayed its core group, and that is what is hurting the sports network.
“I felt that the old school viewers were put in a corner and not appreciated with all these other changes,” Cohn said, according to The Washington Post. “And they forgot their core. You can never forget your core, and be grateful for your core group.”

And what do ESPN fans want from their sports channel?
Here’s a hint: Not ridiculous, goofy politics.
When asked about whether or not politics was playing a part in ESPN’s difficulty, Cohn had a startling response:
“You’re right. That is definitely a percentage of it,” she said. “I don’t know how big a percentage. But if anyone wants to ignore that fact, they’re blind. That’s what I meant about the core group that made ESPN so successful.”
Would you believe that people just want to watch their sports and hear their sports analyses without a political agenda being rammed down their throat?
It’s media indoctrination, and the American people are right to hurt ESPN for doing it.
Obviously, Cohn is putting her own career with the network in some uncertainty by making comments like this. ESPN is not known for being forgiving of the conservative viewpoint.
That’s all the more reason to be grateful for one ESPN veteran who is willing to put out the truth, regardless of what it may do to her future.
