Don Jr. Slams NYT-Sponsored Play That Depicts the Brutal Death of “Trump”

The hatred against President Donald Trump has become so intense that it seems some people have no problem indicating that they would like to see Trump murdered.

The latest incident of a very graphic and highly inappropriate attack on Trump occurred in New York City where a “Shakespeare in the Park” play depicted the assassination of Julius Caesar — who looked suspiciously like the current U.S. president.

Trump’s son eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., went on Twitter to blast the sickening production and questioned why such a politically motivated production was being funded, The Daily Caller reported.

“I wonder how much of this ‘art’ is funded by taxpayers? Serious question, when does ‘art’ become political speech & does that change things?” he wrote on Twitter.

Fox News noted that while the play never specially stated that it was Trump who was being assassinated, the character of Caesar in the production has blonde hair, wears a suit and a red tie and is stabbed to death by women and minorities.

You can watch the depiction here, but be warned: Some may find the footage disturbing.

The organization behind the play, “Public Theater,” has a number of very high profile corporate sponsors, including Delta Airlines and The New York Times.

CNN reported that Delta and Bank of America quickly dropped their support for the group because of the depiction of an apparent Trump assassination.

“No matter what your political stance may be, the graphic staging of ‘Julius Caesar’ at this summer’s Free Shakespeare in the Park does not reflect Delta Air Lines’ values,” said a statement released by Delta.

Staging a fake assassination of the president of the United States is wrong no matter who is in office. Thankfully because of public outcry, corporations are beginning to pull their funding for this disgusting production.

We can only hope more will follow suit.
