It’s still hard for liberals to believe that even though they’ve wholeheartedly embraced the transgender agenda, the most famous trans individual in the world — Caitlyn Jenner — is an avowed Republican.
And in spite of Jenner’s recent squabbles with President Trump and his administration, the reality star and former Olympian hasn’t turned to the left just yet. In a Friday appearance before the College Republican National Committee, Jenner rhetorically punched the former president in the gut for his administration’s decision to enter into the Paris Agreement on climate change. He also defended the Trump administration’s decision to pull out of it.
“I am all for getting out of the Paris accord,” Jenner told the crowd at the group’s summer convention, according to The Daily Caller. “Let’s give it to the military. Let’s fix the vets.”
“I just think the Paris accord was just a way for the rest of the world to kind of ruin us economically,” Jenner added.
“To me, it was all about transfer of wealth — get it out of the United States and give it to other countries.”
While Jenner’s remarks were delivered before a closed audience, one College Republicans group streamed the wide-ranging remarks on Facebook Live. Jenner also discussed the economic mess the Obama administration left us in and greater support for the military.
“We went from $9 trillion to almost $20 trillion worth of debt. That ruined our economy. So we cannot continue to do that. We have to keep our economy very strong,” Jenner said, according to the Washington Examiner. “I want to unleash the American entrepreneur as best we can, with the least amount of restrictions to find solutions for a lot of the issues that we have.”
And as for America’s military might, Jenner was equally blunt: “We have to continue to have the strongest military in the world so nobody will screw with us. Simple. And if they do, they know what the consequences are going to be.”
While Jenner did mention the squabble over bathroom rights with the Trump administration, the transgender activist surprised many by providing support for the president.
“Like any administration,” Jenner said, “there’s things that you like and things that you don’t like.”
Oh, are liberals going to have a fit over this one. While we may not always agree with the most visible transgender activist in the world, one cannot accuse Jenner of having left all commonsense behind.
