What he did is illegal!
In Washington, D.C. right now, there is a major scandal unfolding involving high-ranking Democrats and a thug representing a foreign country. Unsurprisingly, the mainstream media is not telling you the full story.
Imran Awan was once a congressional information technology (IT) aide to Democrats Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Gregory Meeks (D-NY). Now he, along with his two brothers, are under investigation for abusing their access t0 senior-level data. Furthermore, it appears that Awan used his position as a way to threaten relatives back in Pakistan, via The Daily Caller.
According to recently released court documents, Imran, Abid, and Jamal Awan illegal tapped the phones of their relatives and illegally installed listening devices in the home of Imran’s stepmother, Samina Gilani.
Gillian claims that Imran and the other men always claimed that they would have her relatives in Pakistan kidnapped and ransomed if she ever told American authorities about what the brothers were up to.
All told, it is believed that the Awan brothers received $5 million to steal information from approximately 80 congressional computers, via IWB.
The Awan brothers, along with Imran’s wife Hina Alvi and another individual named Rao Abbas, earned most of their illicit money by stealing expensive electronic equipment from congressional offices, then turning around and selling it at inflated prices back to the House of Representatives, via FOX News.
These schemes likely allowed the Awan crime family to hack into congressional emails and sell sensitive information to the highest bidder.
One of those non-state actors may have been the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.
The Awan brothers do have links to fugitive Iraqi politician Dr. Ali Al-Attar. Dr. Al-Attar is currently wanted by U.S. authorities and is believed to be one of the Iraqi dissidents who falsified intelligence reports in order to ignite the Iraq War of 2003.
Al-Attar’s connection to the Awan brothers stems from a 2012 loan of $100,000 that was given to Cars International A, a limited liability company owned and operated by the Pakistani trio. A former CIA officer has asserted that Al-Attar was recorded in Beirut talking with a Hezbollah official about the $100,00 loan. Apparently, the Awan brothers did not pay Attar and Hezbollah back, via The Daily Caller.
As bad as all of this information is, it should be noted that both Wasserman Schultz and Meeks kept the brothers employed even after the federal government revoked their access to congressional IT systems.
This is treason.
